MightyCanoe Films

Social Media Campaign

Three short videos to promote what was a very successful fundraiser for a local nonprofit arts organization.

Experimental Film

“It’s like a documentary filmmaker made an art film” — friend review of Helter Shelter in Place.

Trailer for “Helter Shelter in Place,” a timelapse film made in my yard in Joshua Tree during the 2020 pandemic lockdowns.
“Lenticular,” a timelapse of the longest-lasting cloud I’d ever seen. Total shoot time was almost eight hours. (Yes, those are real stars at the end.)

Feature Documentary

“On the Vetter Farm, their most important crop is the soil.”

Trailer for “Dreaming of a Vetter World”
“Jeannie” excerpt from “Dreaming of a Vetter World”
With historical context and an eye to the future, Dreaming of a Vetter World shows it’s possible to jump off conventional agriculture’s pesticide treadmill and to build soil by farming organically. It’s also a story about love, hope, family, and place; an inspiring example of perseverance and doing what you know is right—against all odds.
